What a tasty and healthy vegetarian dish, simple and delicious and so cheap! As a snack, or a main, even if you’re not vegetarian I’m sure you’re going to love this recipe!
3 cloves garlic
1 tsp (teaspoon) cumin
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp mixed herbs (fresh is better, but I haven’t got any in the garden yet!)
1 x 400g tin chickpeas
1 tbs (tablespoon) oil
1 egg yolk
Roughly chop your onion, chilli, and garlic and put into a food processor with the other ingredients
Blitz until the mixture is a coarse paste
Roll into balls – about golf ball size
Brown in a pan
Bake in the oven 180 fan for 10 mins to cook through
Serve with salad, pitta and a garlic yogurt
That’s it! Told you it was easy, and so healthy too, you really can’t go wrong!
